Victoria sponge cake recipe – Nigella Lawson shared a step-by-step cooking method – UNIAN

Victoria sponge cake is popular for a reason – it is quite easy to prepare and very tasty. The cake consists of two vanilla sponges sandwiched together with jam and cream in the middle. Although this is a simple bake, it can be adjusted to taste, including replacing the jam or choosing a different cream.

Restaurant critic and cookbook author Nigella Lawson shared her recipe for the sponge cake with Express, which she says she's been making for “decades.”

This recipe makes eight to ten slices and bakes in just 20 to 25 minutes.
