A 14-year-old weightlifter sensationally became the champion of Kazakhstan among adults – Athletics

At the Kazakhstan weightlifting championship taking place these days among women in the weight category up to 59 kilograms, a 14-year-old girl won a sensational “gold”. Ksenia Prozorova from the Almaty region, Sports.kz reports with reference to Zakon.kz.

The young weightlifter conquers the republican championship among adults for the second time in a row. At the current tournament in Taldykorgan, Ksenia Prozorova managed to lift 190 kg (87+103) in the double event.

Interestingly, this gifted athlete was ahead of her competitors by a good margin.

Karaganda resident Daria Balabayuk lost to the champion by as much as 16 kg – 174 kg (78+96), and the bronze winner Valeria Ivanova from the Zhetysu region was 20 kilos behind – 170 kg (80+90).
