A 76-year-old Kirov woman “gave” 250 thousand rubles to strangers

The pensioner fell for the tricks of the scammers. The incident was reported to the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
At the end of November, an elderly Kirov resident received a message from a man who introduced himself as an FSB officer about an alleged leak of data from the plant where she previously worked. He convinced her to start a conversation and asked about her financial situation. A couple of weeks later, the scammers contacted her on behalf of the plant’s general director, informing her of an FSB inspection. Then a “Central Bank employee” called her, informing her of an attempt to withdraw money from her account.
The pensioner withdrew 250 thousand rubles and transferred them to the dictated number. Only after that the woman called her former director. He explained that he had not sent her any messages and that they were scammers. The director advised the pensioner to contact the police.
