Since 1987, Molly Robinson has been dining every Thursday at Langley Castle in Northumberland. She used to visit the place with her now late husband, Jock, and they would usually stay overnight.

After her husband's death, she visits the castle alone. The lady's lunch during these years remains unchanged. She always chooses the soup of the day and fish and chips, and washes them down with two glasses of champagne.
If she does not finish her lunch, the leftovers are fed to the birds.
“They line up for them,” Ms Robinson added.
Molly Robinson also shares lunch with the staff, ordering them a glass of champagne.
