A child injured on the playground was paid 500 thousand rubles by court decision

The Kirov Region Prosecutor's Office reports the results of an audit of the implementation of legislation on minors.

In August 2023, a 7-year-old boy was walking on the playground in the Korchemkino settlement, Novovyatsky district. The child fell from a swing and suffered a fracture of the femur of his left leg. Prosecutors classified the injury as serious. The boy underwent treatment for a long time and was “cut off” from his peers.

The prosecutor's office defended the rights of the minor by filing a lawsuit to recover compensation for moral damage from the municipal authorities. The site had no owner. The claim was fully satisfied – 500 thousand rubles were recovered in favor of the child. His legal representative will receive 100 thousand rubles for moral damage caused.
