A cyber attack on state registers affected the work of banks
Currently, special clarifications are being prepared regarding the procedure for opening accounts in conditions of limited access to registers.
As a result of the Russian cyberattack, access to some state registers was limited, which made it difficult for banks to open new accounts and issue loans.
This was reported by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) in response to an inquiry by “Interfax-Ukraine”.
The NBU noted that currently all information systems of the National Bank are working normally.
“At the same time, the unavailability of certain state registers in a certain way affects the work of banks, in particular, the opening of new accounts and the issuance of loans,” the regulator noted.
