A day off was added, or How Kazakhstanis will relax for the New Year – Lifestyle
Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population (MLSP) of Kazakhstan has prepared an order providing for the postponement of the day off in January 2025, Sports.kz reports with reference to Zakon.kz.
According to the order of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On postponing the day of rest in 2025”, the day off from Sunday, January 5, 2025, is moved to Friday, January 3, 2025.
“Thus, with a five-day working week, Kazakhstanis will be able to rest from January 1 to 4, and with a six-day working week, from January 1 to 3,” the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan said on November 21, 2024.
This postponement of the weekend, according to the Ministry of Labor, “will allow for optimal distribution of working time and create favorable conditions for citizens to relax.”
