In the Lviv region, a deputy of the regional council and the deputy mayor, who are suspected of fraud in tender purchases, have been detained.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Officials are accused of taking possession of other people's property by deception in the conditions of martial law, according to a previous conspiracy, in particularly large amounts.

According to the investigation, in June 2023, officials learned about the participation of a private company in tenders for the repair of local facilities. They offered the company's director assistance in signing agreements with customers and ensuring timely payment, in exchange for a bribe – a part of the amount of the contracts.
