According to the department, on the evening of Wednesday, December 18, at the Knyazhaya station in the Murmansk region, a passenger train traveling from Murmansk to St. Petersburg collided with a freight train. At least one casualty is known, TASS writes, citing operational services.

It is reported that the transport prosecutor's office has begun an investigation. Regional authorities report that teams of rescuers and doctors have been sent to the site.
