The Telegram channel “Doctor's Notes” shared the results of a study, the authors of which found that eating boiled potatoes reduces the risk of mortality, Sports.kz reports.
“Norwegian scientists, in a large-scale study (data from as many as 77 thousand people were taken into account), studied the relationship between potato consumption and mortality from all causes, as well as specifically from cardiovascular diseases.
It turned out that those who ate at least 14 potatoes per week had a 12% lower risk of death from all causes than those who ate fewer. And those who consumed more than 14 potatoes per week had a 4% reduced risk of death from cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease and acute myocardial infarction. This worked especially well with men.
