A hedgehog with pneumonia was found in Kirov's Victory Park

A sick hedgehog is being treated at the Big Nest Animal Rehabilitation Center.

The animal was found on the side of the road in Victory Park. The hedgehog had been sitting still for at least half a day and was very cold. Experts have identified pneumonia, which is manifested by a terrible cough and sniffling, and also a refusal to eat. It’s good that doctor Victoria was found, who knows everything about hedgehogs. She examined and treated the hedgehog, who is now feeling better. Now volunteers hope to put their ward into hibernation until spring.

By the way, it is difficult to examine hedgehogs, as they curl up into a spiny ball and bite. Taking blood for analysis is also not easy, so gas anesthesia is often used.
