A high alert regime has been introduced in the Kirov region. The corresponding order of the head of the region appeared on the website of the regional government.
On Thursday, December 19, the governor of the Kirov region, Alexander Sokolov, signed a decree introducing a high alert regime in the region. It is reported that hazardous weather conditions are expected across the region on Friday and Saturday, December 20 and 21. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations urged Kirov residents to be careful.
According to meteorologists, on Friday, December 20, frosts down to -24 degrees will hit the region. The next day, rapid warming is predicted: up to +3 degrees is expected. The rise in temperature will be accompanied by heavy snowfalls, blizzards and ice. Accumulating snow will also pose a danger.
