The man claimed that his religion forbade him to fight.

In the Odesa region, a man was sentenced to 3 years in prison, who said that he was ready to agree to mobilization only on one condition – if he received the right to alternative service.

This is stated in the verdict of the Comintern district court of Odesa region (the name of the court is not decommunized – ed.)

According to the court, the man received numerous summonses from January 2023, but avoided being drafted into the army. In February 2024, he wrote a statement about the refusal of mobilization.
