In Bukovyna, a man became a victim of Internet fraudsters, losing 38 thousand hryvnias when trying to buy winter tires.
This is reported by the police of the Chernivtsi region.
A 36-year-old local resident contacted the law enforcement officers, reporting the fraud. The applicant said that he intended to buy winter tires for a car, which he saw advertised for sale on an online platform. After discussing the conditions with the seller, which seemed acceptable to him, the man transferred the money to the specified account. However, after that the seller disappeared, and the goods were never delivered.
A criminal investigation into fraud under Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is currently underway.
