A modernized Russian MiG-29 crashed again in India — World

A Russian-made MiG-29UPG fighter jet crashed in India during a training flight. The accident happened near the city of Agra in the central part of the country at 16:30 local time.

According to preliminary data from the Indian Armed Forces, the cause of the incident was a technical malfunction of the aircraft.

“A MiG-29 aircraft of the Indian Armed Forces crashed near Agra during a training flight due to a technical malfunction,” the post reads.

The pilot, the squadron commander, performed a maneuver to avoid casualties and destruction, after which he successfully ejected. The Indian Armed Forces have launched an investigation to find out the circumstances of the accident.
