A new bridge has been opened for pedestrian traffic in the Luza region

A new pontoon crossing has appeared in the Luza region, the local mayor’s office spoke about it.

The bridge near the village of Krasavino (Lalsk town) has been installed in its designed position. The passage for pedestrians is organized. But it is noted that the movement of road transport is currently impossible; welding work is still underway at the site, the administration of the Luzsky municipal district reported.

The new bridge will be more than 100 meters long and will be able to withstand loads of up to 60 tons. The old floating bridge over the Luza River was built in 1991. By the fall of 2023, as the bridge neared the end of its life, the contractor carried out the planned repairs.
