A policeman with patriotic views gave Russia data about the Armed Forces of Ukraine
In court, the cop stated that he was blackmailed by a former colleague who fled to Russia.
In Kharkiv, a law enforcement officer was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of all property, who from June to October 2023 passed on information about the Armed Forces to the Russians.
This is stated in the verdict of the Ordzhonikidze District Court of Kharkov (the name of the court is not decommunized – ed.)
According to the court, from June to October 2023, the police captain transferred data about the Defense Forces to Russia in order for the occupiers to launch missile strikes.
At the court session, the law enforcement officer admitted his guilt and repented. He said that he gave Russia information about the Defense Forces because his former colleague, who had left for Moscow, forced him to spy for the occupiers. The man was threatened that he and his family would be killed if he stopped spying for Russia.
