The politician sent messages to the refugees, asked them questions of a sexual nature, sent hearts and emojis with kisses, and repeatedly asked one of the Ukrainian women if she wanted to “meet for wine.”
Labor politician Cammy Day, the leader of Edinburgh City Council, attacked Ukrainian refugees on social media with messages asking about their sexual preferences, trying to meet them on dates and sending compliments about their appearance.

The two refugees told reporters that they could not ignore Cammy Day's unwanted advances because of his position. The politician has been suspended by Scottish Labor and is now at the center of a police investigation into allegations of misconduct.
