A powerful magnetic storm will cover the Earth at the end of the week – Health

Specialists from the solar astronomy laboratory of the IKI and ISTP warn of an approaching powerful magnetic storm that will affect the Earth on the night of November 29, 2024, Sports.kz reports with reference to the “Championship”.

Geomagnetic activity will peak from midnight to noon, with an intensity of six. The storm will then begin to weaken, but another moderate outbreak is expected from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday.

According to expert forecasts, the probability of a magnetic storm on November 29 will be 20%, and a strong magnetic storm – 40%.

It should be noted that in November there is a decrease in solar activity. While nine solar flares occurred in October, only one was recorded in November. This led to a decrease in the number of magnetic storms: there were six in October, and only one this month, on the night of November 9-10.
