In the main bout of the evening at the Zenith Metropole, Nantes, France, the WBO Global welterweight champion (up to 66.7 kg) was a Frenchman David Papo (30-0-1, 5 KOs) met with the IBF International title holder Josh Wagner (18-1, 9 KOs) from Canada, Sports.kz reports with reference to vRINGe.com.
Papo started the fight vaguely, but then took the initiative. Despite his “non-knockout” status, he managed to finish the fight ahead of schedule – in the 7th round, Wagner took his knee after a missed blow to the body and decided not to rise to his feet until the referee counted to ten. Papo KO 7.
