A sergeant from Omutninsk repelled an enemy attack while being wounded

The government of the Kirov region writes about a sergeant from Omutninsk who prevented the enemy from going on the offensive.

At the beginning of October, Vitaly Sh. was in the DPR. Standing at the observation post, the sergeant noticed that the enemy had come out of the forest towards his colleagues.

Vitaly immediately reported what he saw to the command, called for reinforcements and entered the battle. The sergeant killed two soldiers, but an enemy drone dropped a grenade into Vitaly’s trench. Despite the wound, our fellow countryman continued to fight off the enemy even after reinforcements arrived. Vitaly helped his colleagues significantly.

The Ministry of Defense said that the sergeant had courage and professionalism and thanks to his actions the enemy offensive was thwarted.
