A taxi driver from Ukraine in Latvia knew only Russian

The driver spoke only in Russian.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Baiba Braje, complained about the driver of the Bolt taxi service in Riga, who spoke neither Latvian nor English, and communicated with her only in Russian. It turned out that he is from Ukraine. So the fact that he did not even speak Ukrainian outraged her.

According to her, on December 14, she was on her way to the old part of the capital of Latvia in a taxi driven by Oleksandr. It turned out that he did not know a single word of the national language of Latvia.

Moreover, the driver did not speak English, German, French, Dutch or Ukrainian, and could only speak Russian.
