From “Kyiv in three days” to “as long as it takes.” During these three years of full-scale Russian war, Ukrainians learned these phrases of our Western partners by heart. We all well remember how, a week before February 24, 2022, international airlines stopped flights to Ukraine, and Western embassies hurriedly packed up and left, never to return. They were convinced that Russia would capture Ukraine, including the capital, in three days, or at most in a few weeks.
But this did not happen. Kyiv resisted.
