A vandal damaged commemorative photos of fallen soldiers in Kyiv
An investigation is currently underway and the legal qualification of the incident is being determined.
The police detained a man who damaged memorial flags and photographs of fallen defenders on Independence Square in Kyiv.
This was reported by the capital's police.
“Information about the event was received this morning at the Shevchenkiv police department. A local resident informed the law enforcement officers that she found damaged flags and photos of fallen soldiers on Maidan Nezalezhnosti,” the press service said.
It was quickly possible to establish the identity of the violator – he turned out to be a 36-year-old man from the Sumy region. The patrol police team detained the violator, who was in an agitated state. After examination by doctors, he was sent to a specialized medical institution.
