The law enforcement officers detained a 19-year-old man from Kyiv who scared the residents of the forest massif with fireworks. The offender explained his actions by wishing to congratulate his girlfriend on her birthday.

The incident took place yesterday evening in the Forest massif. Residents of the high-rise building reported to the police about the firework, which scared them. The police promptly arrived at the scene and arrested the young man. Two used launchers were seized from him.
“During the search, the police detained a 19-year-old local resident who was involved in setting off the fireworks. The young man explained that he wanted to wish his girlfriend a happy birthday in this way,” the message reads.
