The first baby penguins appeared on Galindez Island, where the Ukrainian polar station “Akademik Vernadsky” is located. Scientists have published photos in which you can see parents with babies.
“Get ready for incredible cuteness: the first penguin chicks of this season were born near the Akademik Vernadsky station. Look what a sweet tooth they are,” the National Antarctic Science Center notes on Facebook.
It is said that two first-born babies were immediately discovered by the biologist of the 29th AE Svetozar Davydenko in the same nest where the first eggs appeared – on a rock near the geospace research laboratory.
