A pod of killer whales spent an hour hunting a smart krilleis.
While working in the ocean, Ukrainian polar explorers witnessed an incredible story about how a pod of killer whales hunted a krill seal, and it hid from them in an iceberg crack. This was reported by the National Antarctic Science Center, which also released a corresponding video.
The driver of the boat, system administrator of the 29th Air Force Alexander Matsibura says that the expedition members were not far from the continent when they saw a large straight dorsal fin.
“We drove closer by boat and heard the sound of killer whales communicating. Their flock was actively swimming around the iceberg. At first we didn’t understand why, but then we lifted the drone and saw that there was a seal lying inside the glacier,” he said.
