The Verkhovna Rada has taken a step towards automatically accepting 17-year-old citizens for military registration.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced this on social networks. “Today the parliament supported in the first reading an important bill, thanks to which citizens of Ukraine, upon reaching the age of 17, will automatically register for military service,” Umerov said.
In particular, this means that young men no longer need to go to the TCC or undergo a medical examination.
“It will be enough to go through identification in Reserve+, after which the application itself will generate a military registration document,” explained the Minister of Defense.
