Celebrities were “banned” from performing one of her hits.
The famous British singer Adele, who had previously left the big stage with tears in her eyes, got into a loud scandal. The performer, known for the songs “Hello”, “Skyfall”, “Set Fire to the Rain”, “Rolling in the Deep”, was accused of plagiarism.
According to The Guardian, the star was sued by Brazilian composer Toninho Geraese. In his lawsuit, he called on experts to check for similarities between the artist’s 2015 hit “Million Years Ago” and his music for the track “Mulheres.” The last composition of 1995 was performed by singer Martinho da Vila.
“This is a landmark for Brazilian music that has often been copied to create successful international hits,” said the composer's lawyer, Fredimio Trotta.
