According to the Sport.ua portal, Usik’s T-shirt caused a great resonance among the Saudis. The phrase “Orthodoxy or death” rejects other religious positions. In Islamic Saudi Arabia, such symbolism may be perceived as provocative or offensive.
Wearing such a T-shirt in such a country can have serious consequences, since religious norms are strictly adhered to there, and any statements can be considered a violation.
