December 23, 2024 (11:49)

Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik and British Tyson Fury suspended from boxing for medical reasons after a full-time title rematch, Sports.kz reports with reference to Sport24.ru.

Last weekend, Usyk defeated Fury by split decision and remained the WBA, WBC and WBO heavyweight world champion.

The World Boxing Council (WBC) banned the Ukrainian and the British from entering the ring for the next 36 days to prevent health problems for both athletes.

Alexander Usik spent 23 fights in professional boxing and won 23 victories.

Usik was “sent” into retirement after winning the rematch with Fury
