Almost 1 GW of reserve generating capacity has been created in Ukraine
Critical infrastructure in cities and communities is provided with backup power sources as much as possible.
This is reported in the statement of the Association of Small Cities of Ukraine.
“Thanks to the joint efforts of the local authorities, the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, as well as the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, it was possible to achieve a high level of equipping critical facilities with backup generation in case of power outages. As of November 1, according to the State Energy Inspectorate, critical infrastructure facilities more than 900 MW of reserve capacities have been installed,” the message reads.
These measures are aimed at ensuring uninterrupted operation of facilities that are vital for the functioning of communities in the event of power outages.
