An app has gone viral that turns any item into a LEGO set.
Users can scan anything from their favorite toy to a city landmark.
A team of enthusiasts presented an application called Brick My World, which allows you to turn real objects into accurate Lego models. According to the authors, it will not only design a Lego model, but also provide step-by-step instructions for assembling it in PDF and LDR formats.
The application uses augmented reality technologies ARCore on Android and ARKit on iOS. It performs a 3D scan of an object and then uses AI to transform it into a model divided into Lego bricks. To assemble small models, about 500 parts will be required, and for larger ones – several thousand, writes Newatlas.
