During a large-scale protest in the capital of Georgia near the parliament building, protesters burned an effigy of the leader of the Georgian Dream party, Bidzina Ivanishvili.

The protesters, who crowded the street in front of the parliament, erected barricades and threw fireworks at the parliament building.
The fire entered the building through previously broken windows and a fire started in one of the offices.
As the “Caucasian Knot” publication reports, police units, including special forces, gathered on the streets adjacent to the parliament. The Ministry of Internal Affairs warned the protesters in Tbilisi to put police forces on alert.
