Anti-Defamation League accuses Steam of normalizing anti-Semitism – UNIAN
The Anti-Defamation League found millions of examples of intolerance on Steam.
The Anti-Defamation League, an American organization aimed at combating anti-Semitism, accused Steam of normalizing intolerance towards Jews.
In its latest report, ADL said it had identified one and a half million Steam profiles containing extremist and anti-Semitic content.
The ADL named Pepe the Frog as the most common symbol of hatred, which the organization classified as an anti-Semitic symbol back in 2016 for the active use of the meme by representatives of the alt-right movement. The ADL estimates that more than 54% of anti-Semitic profiles used Pepe in their content. Further on the list of symbols, more obvious options were noted, such as the swastika and the imperial eagle.
