Antikor drew attention to Astana's multibillion-dollar expenses – Football
The Anti-Corruption Service analyzed the expenses of the most expensive football club – FC “Astana“, which accounts for 25% of the total budget for football or 50.1 billion tenge (sponsorship funds of JSC “Samruk-Kazyna“), reports Sports.kz with reference to Zakon.kz.
As the official representative of the Anti-Corruption Agency Daniyar Bigaidarov noted at a briefing on November 14, 2024, in 2018-2023 more than 66% of the funds of FC Astana were spent on wages – 33.1 billion tenge. At the same time, wages were determined at the discretion of the football club management and players.
