Archaeologists have stumbled upon a 7,000-year-old figurine that bears an uncanny resemblance to an alien.
According to the Daily Star, the eerie figurine was unearthed by a joint team of Kuwaiti and Polish researchers at a site in Kuwait known as Bahra 1.
They excavated one of the oldest settlements in the Arabian Peninsula, which was inhabited from about 5500 to 4900 BC.
The team describes the clay figure as “a small, delicately made head, with slanted eyes, a flat nose and an elongated skull.” Although such finds are typical of the Ubayd Neolithic community, this is the first such find discovered in the Persian Gulf region.
