Are there any benefits to artificial caviar? The nutritionist's answer will surprise many – Nutrition

Gastroenterologist and nutritionist Alexandra Noev assessed in a conversation with Lenta.ru the benefits of artificial caviar for the body, Sports.kz reports.

According to Noah, artificial caviar is made from algae, which is rich in iodine and bromine. Sometimes fish oil, omega-3 acids, vitamins D and A are added to this product. Artificial caviar often contains guar gum; in small quantities it normalizes intestinal function and helps reduce bad cholesterol in the blood, the doctor noted

However, artificial caviar cannot be called a completely healthy product, Noev assured. She explained that such caviar contains little protein (one gram per 100 grams of product, while natural caviar contains 32 grams) and not enough healthy fats (2.5 grams versus 15 grams in natural). In addition, artificial caviar contains a lot of carbohydrates.
