World number one in women's singles Arina Sabalenko received an honorary award, Sports.kz reports with reference to Bet News.
The 26-year-old Belarusian was awarded a special silver cup as the strongest tennis player at the end of the year. For the first time in her career, she ended the year as the leader of the WTA rankings. Similar honors were awarded to Czech Katerina Sinyakova, who for the fourth time at the end of the season became the first racket of the planet in doubles.
