Astro Bot topped Metacritic's rankings, becoming the highest-rated game of 2024, ahead of Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree expansion and Metaphor: ReFantazio.
While all three games received the same score of 94, Astro Bot stood out thanks to more reviews: 139 versus 70 for Shadow of the Erdtree and 53 for Metaphor: ReFantazio. This allowed him to take first place among the most highly rated projects of the year on Metacritic.
