Australia plans to purchase more than 200 Tomahawk missiles for its navy.

Australia has become the third country in the world to acquire and launch the American Tomahawk cruise missile. Apart from it, only the USA and Great Britain own this type of weapons.

“HMAS Brisbane, a Hobart-class destroyer, successfully launched a Tomahawk missile during testing and evaluation conducted off the west coast of the United States,” the Australian Department of Defense said in a statement on its website.
