“Avtomagistral-South” announced its possible participation in the construction of trans-European highways through Romania in the amount of 3.2 billion euros
Companies from many EU countries are targeting Romanian projects, but Ukrainians have a high chance of winning.
For the first time, a Ukrainian company can take part in the construction of new high-speed trans-European routes (TEN-T), which will connect the ports of Poland and the Baltic countries with the ports of Greece and the Black Sea countries. This was announced by Nikolai Timofeev, General Director of the Avtomagistral-Yug company.
According to him, Romania still has only a thousand kilometers of highways. Most transport arteries are old roads that pass through cities, making traffic very difficult. The EU plans to at least triple the length of expressways in the country. The European Union is investing tens of billions of euros in the development of Romanian infrastructure. Lots worth 600-800 million euros are up for grabs.
