Ainars Bagatskis once again led the men's national basketball team.
Experienced Latvian specialist Aynars Bagatskis became the new head coach men's basketball team of Ukraine.
This was announced by the Basketball Federation of Ukraine on its official website.
Bagatskis already worked as the head coach of the men's national team of Ukraine from May 2019 to March 2023.
Under his leadership, the “blue-yellow” managed to qualify for EuroBasket 2022, where the national team stopped at the round of 16, eventually taking 11th place in the tournament.
In total, at the head of the men's national team, Ainars played 24 official matches, of which he won 13 and lost 11.
Bagatskis will replace Vitaly Stepanovskyi, who was appointed the day before, as the helmsman of the national team was released.
