“Azovets” Arn, who is a native of Mariupol, was captured by the Russians and told what surprised him after his release. He noted that the prisoners did not know how much Ukrainians supported them.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Marichka Padalko.
“When I arrived, I didn't know that we were expected and supported. When you are in captivity, you are in complete isolation. You do not know what is happening in the world. You are in a cell – you constantly see day, night and torture. And here you come from captivity and they tell me that you are so supported here. I say, no, they show me videos on the Internet. And I am like that, before the word “Azov” was banned, but now the whole world is waiting for us, and it's very cool,” he says.
