Baba like in the USSR
Even beginners in cooking can make rum baba according to our recipe.
Juicy rum baba with fudge is a favorite recipe for many. The combination of aromatic dough and tart filling will not leave any sweet tooth indifferent. Why is the cake called baba? The dessert is similar to Easter pastries, which in some regions of Ukraine are called “babka”. And rum, as the name implies, is part of the impregnation.
Many cooks are intimidated by baba – the recipe seems very complicated. In fact, even beginners can prepare this dessert, although it does have a lot of ingredients. We have collected two successful recipes – classic and quick without yeast.
