Now, local authorities have decided to introduce another temporary restriction for citizens and guests of the city: the mayor of Venice, Luigi Brugnaro, recently signed a decree limiting the sale of alcohol on New Year’s Eve in the city, ANSA reports.
According to him, this measure is aimed at protecting the safety of people and ensuring that events planned in the city are held in safe conditions.
Therefore, shops in Venice will not be able to sell alcohol from 19:00 on December 31, 2024 until 6:00 on January 1, 2025.
