The National Bank's increase in the discount rate from 13% to 13.5% is unlikely to affect the increase in interest rates on loans and deposits. This opinion was expressed in a commentary to UNIAN by Dmitry Zamotaev, director of the retail business department of Globus Bank.

According to him, the change in the discount rate came as a certain surprise, although discussions about such a need took place back in November.
