Ubisoft has released an NFT game – Captain Laserhawk: The GAME, which takes place in the Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon universe. Also acting as a commentator here is Rayman himself, familiar to many from the Ubisoft franchise of the same name.
Despite the game's recent release, you won't find any mention of it on the company's main social networks. Captain Laserhawk: The GAME is a multiplayer top-down shooter that requires players to purchase a special “Niji Warrior” NFT card for $25 to access the game. This card will evolve as the player progresses, implying its potential value on the secondary market.
Ubisoft itself appears to have learned from previous negative experiences with blockchain and NFTs in 2021, and is keeping the experiment on the sidelines this time…
