Ukrainian actor Bohdan Benyuk talked about the filming of the film “Kandahar” with Russian actors Volodymyr Mashkov, Oleksandr Baluyev and Andriy Panin even before the war.

IN interview for the TSN.ua YouTube project “Alone” Benyuk admitted that his colleagues were always distinguished by their chauvinistic attitudes. Yes, they still could not believe that Ukraine is a separate independent state. And they expressed their surprise through the prism of household items.

“I was told that I acted in films with Russian actors. Mashkov, Baluyev, Andriy Panin… We communicated quite closely. And their position was unequivocal about Ukraine. Great-power chauvinism was present even then. Mashkov was surprised that on the keyboard of my phone there is a letter “i” with a dot. Allegedly surprised that Ukraine is really like that…
