Cat people or dog people? Research shows who is smarter – Health

Psychologists from three American universities (University of Florida, Carroll University and Marquette University) conducted a study to find out who is smarter – cat owners or dog owners, Sports.kz reports.

418 students took part in the study. The vast majority of them – 352 people – identified themselves as dog lovers. The minority – 66 people – turned out to be cat lovers. During the study, participants completed a detailed questionnaire to determine their personality traits.

The results were as follows: cat lovers scored higher in a test of logical thinking and general intelligence. Cat lovers also excel in abstract thinking, self-confidence and open-mindedness. As for dog lovers, they often turned out to be extroverts and were warmer in…
